Our weekend saw us take a road trip up North to the town we lived in before we moved back to the city. It was a chance to catch up with family, friends, and for the X Man, a chance to play pretend.

 

 



 

Something I want, something I need, something to wear and something to read

Rhymes like the one above have been popping up all over the net, here and everywhere. We've used this philosophy when buying Christmas gifts for the kids for the last couple of years and I think it's a great way to ensure that we don't go too crazy. It makes it so much easier when planning what to buy and I love the idea that it's a tradition we will carry through the years.

This year the choice of Something to Wear was easy for our little superhero. On it's way from Udder (via Santa) is this gorgeous cape and mask set. I'm super excited about it because it appeals to me aesthetically (no tacky in-your-face branding) and I'm sure that X Man will be super excited about it as it will help him in his mission to rid the world of bad guys. Win, win!

This little stunned mullet was 40 weeks old yesterday. This week she's amusing herself by waving goodbye and high fiving everyone. It's mighty cute.
